Dave has over 12 years of experience as an on-air television host, producer, writer and reporter. He was the featured on-air health expert for WCPO 9 Cincinnati, WTHR 13 Indianapolis and KPTV 12 in Portland, Oregon.

He wrote, produced and hosted the national video series “Exercise is Medicine” for the American College of Sports Medicine, the first national video series of its kind to outline the organization’s new national standards for Physical Activity for the United States.

Dave also hosted and co-produced the national video series “New Physical Activity Guidelines” for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He was chosen to host the CDC’s first national video series outlining the US Government’s new physical activity guidelines. Dave was the creator, writer, host and co-producer of the country’s first PBS on-demand video show for childhood fitness: “The Fitness Fanatic” WCET Cincinnati.

Not just versed in video, Dave is credited with creating and writing the country’s first nationally syndicated fitness column through Gannett News Service. Dave’s column ran for over 8 years and appeared in over 130 newspapers and newspaper websites.

Dave is a former Division I college football player as well as a professional BMX bicycle racer. He still rides BMX bicycles almost daily and can be found each week in the mountains hiking or snowboarding during the winter. His eclectic mix of interests and open mind for adventure is what drives his passion to help others discover and participate in numerous forms of physical activity as well.
